Karaman merkez bahçelerimiz, Hacıcelal Bahçe ve Yuvatepe Bahçesi'nden oluşmaktadır. Toplam 1000 dekar alanda 280.000 adet ağaç bulunmaktadır. 10.000 ton üretim kapasitesine sahip bahçelerimizde, yalnızca Engin Tarım’a ait olan Gradisca, Cosmic Crisp, Majesty ve Magic Star gibi club çeşitleri ile ana cinslerimiz olan Gala, Fuji, Granny Smith, Red Delicious, Golden Reinders, Florine ve Rose üretilmektedir.
We utilize the latest technological advancements across all our orchards to ensure world-class production and productivity.
All our orchards are irrigated using drip irrigation systems. The Metos irrigation system, established in 2024, regulates watering based on soil type through climate stations and soil moisture sensors. This system ensures up to 60% annual savings in water and energy. We have three climate and early warning systems in total.
Our orchards are equipped with frost alert systems that provide early warnings when temperatures drop, enabling timely intervention. Wind machines and water sprinklers installed around the trees help mitigate the effects of frost. These measures protect our apple trees from harsh cold and boost productivity.
All our orchards are covered with netting to protect the trees from hail and sunburn. By creating shade over the trees, we prevent direct exposure of the fruits to sunlight. This method helps shield our apple trees from adverse weather conditions and enhances product quality.
We operate 35 fully equipped harvesting robots. Each person can harvest up to 1,500 kg of apples per day using these machines. Their use minimizes labor costs and human errors, enhances efficiency, and optimizes the harvesting period. As a result, our operations become more efficient and sustainable.
We use five leaf blower machines to produce higher-quality and more colorful apples. Shortly before the harvest season, leaf removal is carried out with modern equipment. This increases the fruit's exposure to sunlight, allowing the apples to develop a perfect red color.
We employ over 2,000 seasonal workers in our Karaman and Akçaşehir orchards. By providing large-scale employment in apple farming, we make a significant contribution to the regional economy. The use of skilled and experienced labor is crucial for improving the efficiency of our production processes and the quality of our products. This enables us to maintain high standards in apple production and deliver the best products to our customers.
